Sharon was born in Boston, Massachusetts venturing in music, theatre and dance as a child. She is an Alto- Mezzo- Soprano, whose vocals are soothing with grace or harsh with vigor, her diction is perfect and her natural vibrato colors and embellishes certain notes as she sings. Sharon's improvisation of timing is credited to old movies of ragtime music, for she is an old soul of back alley blues and jazz.
Sharon Lee Grace performed in 1995, at the Fine Art Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as Sally Boles singing Cabaret. Sharon was the only member of the cast the Producer refused to mike, because of the power she brings to her instrument. It was during this period I would discover the multi-talent artist Sharon Lee Grace.
As the great Irving Berlin struggled to read music so does Sharon, however her passion to compose overrides the challenges and obstacles for her love of composition. Sharon has completed over fifty compositions and is in the process of writing her first Opera to be completed by the end of 2009.
"This will be my greatest contribution in music because it is written from the depth of my soul, with no pretense or projection. This Opera will bare my soul's faith igniting un-soothing and non-healing depths of the pains and sorrows of life, religion and music".
Sharon states, "Every vocalist wants to be identified by their own originality yet I cannot help wanting to just touch the spirits of the great vocalist that I so much respect and admire, Sarah Vaughn, Alberta Hunter, Billie Holiday, Judy Garland and the great Ella Fitzgerald and Shirley Horn. The contrast of Ms. Ella and Ms Horn is astounding, however both talents are monumental. What does this all mean? It means never let anyone in life, tell you that you cannot pursue your dreams. What matters is that you believe in yourself and continue to follow that guide within you, that inner voice. The world is there for all of us to enjoy our life and passions. May the hidden passions in you step forward to help you enjoy your life's happiness.
Although I did not attend The Juilliard School of Music, my studies were enriched by the World's Great Vocalist and World's Great Composers, which left their legendary musical works, of life, in life for people like you and I to forever enjoy."
After many years of entertaining at Corporate Functions, Piano Bars, Supper clubs, Weddings and private parties, Sharon 's return to music will now focus on performing Concerts, Benefits, Jazz and Blues Festivals and International Markets in the summer.

I would like to say I attended The Juilliard School of Music, however I did not. My school of music would begin through the years of listening to the music of the great legendary vocalists and accomplished composers of past and present.
